Series 1914 Federal Reserve Note

The 1914 Federal Reserve Note came in $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 and $100.00 Denominations. The 1914 bills came in two seal colors red and blue. The Red seals were first and are rarer than the later blue seals. Red seal Federal Reserve Notes didn't come in a replacement or star variety but the blue seals did. Star notes are worth 2 to 4 times more than a regular issue note all other things being equal.

1914 $5.00 Federal Reserve Note Red and Blue Seal
1914 $5.00 Dallas Federal Reserve Note Series 1914 $5.00 Dallas Federal Reserve Note blue seal

This is the most common of the 1914 series notes. The red seals are better but a range of values for all 1914 $5.00 dollar bills is from $30 to $600 depending on seal color, district, serial number, signature combination and star or not. Some districts are tough in red seal variety but all are common in blue seal form.

1914 $10.00 Federal Reserve Note Red and Blue Seal
1914 $10.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Series 1914 $10.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Blue Seal

The 1914 $10.00 Bill bill is as common as the five and will have nearly the same range of values. As in the other denominations, red seals will be worth more. Red seals didn't have star notes issued but the blues did. A full range of values would be something like $30 to $1200 for a perfect example of a red seal on a tough district. The value of a blue seal star note would depend on which district and serial combination.

1914 $20.00 Federal Reserve Note Red and Blue Seal
1914 $20.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Series 1914 $20.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Blue Seal

The 1914 $20 Federal Reserve Note is only slightly less common than the $5 and the $10. A full range of values for this note would be from $60 to $1200 with better districts being required to get the highest values. Star notes were issued in the blue seal Series 1914 $20.00, those would bring more.

1914 $50.00 Federal Reserve Note Red and Blue Seal
1914 $50.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Series 1914 $50.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Blue Seal

The $50.00 blue seal is less common than all lesser denominations but still available to buy. In the case of the 1914 $50.00 bill there are going to be some districts and serial combinations that are tougher to find than others. A red seal $50 is a tough note and will always be interesting to collectors. A estimate of a 1914 $50.00 bill will fall between $150 and $3500.

1914 $100.00 Federal Reserve Note Red and Blue Seal
1914 $100.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Series 1914 $100.00 New York Federal Reserve Note Blue Seal

A 1914 $10.00 bill is a better note than any previous denomination but still available. These can be found from $300 for a rag to $6000 for a gem red seal example. The 1914 $100 looks especially nice with a star near the serial number. The 1914 $100 is hard to find with a star as there are only about 20 known to exist. So those are more valuable than the range above and need to be examined on a case by case basis.
