Series 1929 National Currency Brown Seal Small Sized Bank Notes

Series 1929 $5.00 National Currency Series 1929 $5.00 small sized national bank note

The note shown is a type 2. One thing evident in his scan is that these notes were hand cut.
Notice the erratic border along the bottom. People often think this makes the note an error but it's not.
An error note is one that comes from the BEP with a flaw.
This note was delivered in sheet form to the local bank in Burley and they cut the note poorly.
The BEP is not to blame.

Series 1929 $10.00 National Currency Series 1929 $10.00 small sized national bank note
Type 1 Serial #1 note from Whitefish Montana. Often bankers would save the first note of a series as a souvenir.
These notes are readily collected. Some brave souls attempt to put together a state collection of serial #1 notes.
A very difficult task as there are a few states that are stoppers. Alaska and Nevada come to mind.

Series 1929 $20.00 National Currency Series 1929 $20.00 small sized national bank note
Type 1 on the largest issuer in New York City.
I liked this note because it's series 1929, charter 29 and the serial number is A029001A.
The number 29 appears six times on this note.

Series 1929 $50.00 National Currency Series 1929 $50.00 small sized national bank note
Type 1 $50 from Lewiston Idaho. This is a nice higher denomination note from my home state.
Type 2 $50.00 notes are hard to find and there are people who look for just those.

Series 1929 $100.00 National Currency Series 1929 $100.00 small sized national bank note
A very nice $100 type 1 note from Reno.
This note sports a low serial number and benefits greatly from it's location.
Nevada is a tough state to find and harder to buy when you do find them.
