Series 1934 $500 and $1000 High Denomination Federal Reserve Notes

Series 1934 Federal Reserve Notes are the most common high denomination notes issued.
$500 and $1000 bills are available from every district and many districts have star notes.
If you are contemplating a district set collection this is the series to do it.
Even though they are common (relatively) they are still valuable and collectible.

1934 $500 Minneapolis, MN Federal Reserve Note Series 1934 $500 Minneapolis, MN Louis Federal Reserve Note.
This is the most common small sized high denomination note that is collectible today.
A wallet piece can be had for less than $600 if you are careful.
A full range of values would be from $600 to $2500 for a flawless example.
These notes can be more valuable if they have a star near the serial number.
They will also be more valuable if they have a low serial number.

1934 $1000 Dallas, TX Federal Reserve Note Series 1934 $1000 Dallas, TX Federal Reserve Note.
Another readily available type note, these can be found for $1200 in "wallet piece" condition.
Very nice examples will reach into the $2000+ arena.

1934 $5000 New York, NY Federal Reserve Note Series 1934 $5000 New York, NY Federal Reserve Note.
Series 1934 $5000 dollar notes are rare and wonderful and I am always happy to see a new one.
There are less than 50 of these notes known to exist and they are very pricey as a result.
A nice example will be about $50000. More or less depending on the condition.
If you own one of these notes and want to know the value please send me an image.

Series 1934 $10000 Atlanta, GA Federal Reserve Note Series 1934 $10000 Atlanta, GA Federal Reserve Note.
About as rare as the $5000 note in the series, the $10000 note is a joy to behold.
I have personally never owned one but perhaps one day I will be fortunate.
A range of estimates for this note would be between $40000 and $125000 for a perfect note.
