1914 Five Dollar Bill Federal Reserve Red Seal
The 1914 Five dollar bill Red Seal Federal Reserve Note, The first of the Federal Reserve Notes.
The Federal Reserve issued notes for the 12 Federal districts in 1914.
The first of these series 1914 notes were red seals and had the district in the seal at the left.
These notes are tougher to find than the later blue seal notes and bring a premium.
Chicago and New York issued large amounts of notes so they are more common. Dallas is a good district.
1914 Five Dollar Bill Federal Reserve Blue Seal
The 1914 Five dollar bill Blue Seal Federal Reserve Note.
These notes followed the red seals but are equivalent in design.
One major feature blue seals have over red seals is that they come in replacement form.
