Series 1914 Federal Reserve Notes Red Seals

The first issued Federal Reserve notes are known primarily for their seal color, a bright red. These red seal Federal Reserve Notes (FRN's) are the the oldest and most sought after of the FRN series.
The series was only issued in $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 denominations.
Later series would add $500 and $1000 denominations.
Sadly, the series 1914 red seal never used replacement notes. In otherwords, there are no stars.

1914 $5.00 Federal Reserve Note Red Seal. 1914 $5.00 Dallas Federal Reserve Note
This is the most common of the 1914 Red Seal notes. Nice examples can be had a few hundred dollars.
A full range of values would be something like $200 to $8000 for a perfect example.
The scarcest districts are Dallas and San Francisco so those notes tend to bring a premium.

1914 $10.00 Federal Reserve Note Red Seal. 1914 $10.00 New York Federal Reserve Note
The $10.00 in the series is slightly less common than the $5.00 and is easily approachable as a collectible.
A full range of values would be something like $300 to $15000 for a perfect example.

1914 $20.00 Federal Reserve Note Red Seal. 1914 $20.00 New York Federal Reserve Note
The $20.00 is much more scarce than the $5 and the $10 and will start to get pricey.
A well worn example can be had for $500 or so. A nice mid-grade example can run from $700 to $1200.
A full range of values would range from $400 to $6500 for a perfect example and optimum star alignment.

1914 $50.00 Federal Reserve Note Red Seal. 1914 $50.00 New York Federal Reserve Note
The $50.00 red seal is a rare note and it is always nice to see a new one surface.
A range of values for this note would be $600 to $7500 for an uncirculated example.
Oddly, for this note the scarcest district is Boston.

1914 $100.00 Federal Reserve Note Red Seal. 1914 $100.00 New York Federal Reserve Note
The $100.00 red seal is the king of the series and is a rare and expensive note.
With something like 200 known for all districts this note is very tough to put together a district set.
But I encourage you to try!
Whats it worth? A full range of values would be from $1200 to $50000 in uncirculated condition.
